Program Abstract

This module educates the investigator about NFPA 1033’s importance, its requirements, and how those requirements impact the fire investigator’s professional development. The investigator will also learn how 1033’s Job Performance Requirements (JPRs) are used in a variety of contexts, including training programs, qualifying experts to testify in court, and vetting experts. The module also explains how to write your curriculum vitae (CV), ensure that 1033’s requirements are reflected in your CV, conform your ongoing professional development to 1033’s requirements, and present your CV to employers and to the court.
